Narrow-band receivers are used in RF-systems with the largest range demands, typically for ranges above 10 km. The narrow channel filter width reduces the noise floor and therefore enhances the sensitivity of the receiver. This comes at the price of a narrow channel filter and thus with the requirement of high accuracy in the frequency, which typically results in the usage of a TCXO. AXSEM is proud to offer receiver performances close to theoretical limits.
The transition between Narrow-Band Line and General-Purpose Line is drawn at 40 kHz receiver channel-bandwidth, which is the transition point between XTAL and TCXO usage.
The AX5042 is a good choice for many applications since it combines excellent narrow-band performance with low cost for the 400 MHz to 470 MHz and 800 MHz to 940 MHz bands.
The AX50424 is a special narrow-band transceiver for paging applications. It is compatible to many EU and US paging standards.
The AX5043 is an ultra-low power narrow-band transceiver combining highest sensitivity with high neighbor channel rejection. It operates from 70 MHz to 1.05 GHz and offers -126 dBm sensitivity with more than 40 dB adjacent channel rejection at only 9.5 mA receive current. With its 16 dBm output power the AX5043 achieves the world leading link budget of 143 dBm at 868 MHz.
