RF ICs
AXSEM produces a wide range of RF transceivers/receivers/transmitters which are commonly used in the bands below 1 GHz. AXSEM transceivers are known for excellent sensitivity and very efficient power amplifiers. Typical sensitivities are in the range of -110 dBm to -126 dBm for 1.2 kbps (narrow-band or general-purpose). Depending on the IC the maximum output power is between 14 dBm and 20 dBm. As AXSEM RF transceivers have integrated RX/TX switches the matching networks are simple. Customers all over the world use AXSEM RF and wireless IC for various applications including automatic meter reading, sensor networks, audio transmission and others.
AXSEM offers four lines of RF ICs
Narrow-band Line.
AX5042, AX50424 and AX5043 are some of the world's most sensitive integrated RF ICs.
General Purpose Line.
AX5031, AX5051 and AX5051-510 have unsurpassed wide channel performance.
TSSOP Line.
AX5131, AX5151 and AX5151-510 are unmatched in terms of their performance/price ratio.
RF Microcontrollers.
Combinations of AXSEM's ultra-low power MCU and RF technologies.
To support application development AXSEM offers the AXSEM AX8052 Development System and the DVK-2 Development Kit. This suite of tools introduces a comfort level for development that is a novelty at the 8-bit level. The tool suite consists of
- The AX-RadioLab GUI which is used to efficiently setup radio link parameters for RF microcontrollers or for the AX8052F100 combined with one of AXSEM's RF ICs. AX-RadioLab produces C source code, compiles it and downloads it to target boards.
- AX-MicroLab GUI is a configurator and example code generator for AXSEM's AX8052F1xx MCUs.
- AXCode::Blocks is a graphical Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for AX8052F1xx projects. It can be used to create new projects or to further customize the AX-RadioLab generated code.
- AX8052 Support Library (LibMF) is a convenience library to ease the use of AXSEM AX8052 MCUs and RF ICs.
- AXSDB is the AXSEM symbolic command line debugger. Both AX-RadioLab and AXCode::Blocks talk to AXSDB. Users need not interact directly with AXSDB. However, AXSDB can be useful for automated or scripted tasks, thanks to its command line and TCL scripting features. AXSDB is part of the AX8052-IDE Software Package that can be downloaded on this page.
- SDCC is the C-compiler that AXSEM offers along with its development software. It is open source and freely usable. Usage of other industry standard compilers is possible. SDCC is part of the AX8052-IDE Software Package that can be downloaded on this page.
